Household chores: (they live at the bottom of my priority list...)
Me: "Hmmm, and I asked for all of this???"

First, let me say that I love my kids and I am completely satisfied with my place in life right now. I get to have the best of both worlds by running a home-based business and being able to care for my children. Sure, there are some "sticky" moments where I want to give up and just do neither job of mine, but overall, the good times outweigh the bad. I can be there when my kids are sick, I can kiss all the boo-boos, they can nap when they want, eat when they're ready, and if they exhibit bad manners, I can be right there to correct it! I also have my other life, where I can be a successful small business owner who is immediately receptive to the needs of her clients and believes with all of her heart that hard work and perfection are the best ways to grow her client list. Additionally, I get to keep my resume in-tact without a gaping hole where I was not involved in any business community. Every mom who has taken time off to care for her children dreads the part of a job interview that covers "so, what have you been doing for the last 5 years?" Finally, I am able to put my degree to use by managing every aspect of a business, and if I fail at either endeavor (my children or my business), I have only myself to blame.
I just wanted to give everyone a little glimpse into my daily life. I hope to get some pictures up from our Virginia trip soon!
